Previously, I have tried coloring as a way to relax but just had not found the right set, and these do not feel too advanced. As a heavy-duty binder rather than a book lets me set it flat instead of tearing the page out first and in this way, I can keep them together and work on multiple pages at once. I am enjoying coloring for the first time and this has are encouraging sayings without typos and drawings that are intricate and pretty but not impossible.
Any crayons, pens or markers other than these will work of course. Here, the larger tip will produce a lighter color layer on the first shading than when using the pointed tip, which comes out richer the first time.

Great purchase!! As adults not many low energy hobbies exist and I find myself reaching for them often. Especially after a long day or during downtime in my office whenever I work from home. This replaces reading without the mental capacity required just to be present during a good book. It’s usually never said- but coloring is very helpful and peaceful for the regular everyday person.
Unlike my younger experience with coloring sheets during medical office visits- the markers will not bleed to the next page or even through to the back side. This is a single-sided booklet with thicker than average paper. For the price- the quality is better than anything you’ll find at Barns and Noble. AND this set comes with 2 booklets and a dual sided marker set.

Great Designs, Great Quality Markers
I used to draw a lot when I was younger, and even took a lot of art classes, so this brought me back! Getting lost in coloring is so peaceful and calming. I love the designs in these two books. They are complicated enough designs for an adult, without being so difficult for our vision. I was quite surprised by how good the markers were. I’ve used expensive alcohol markers in the past and these were fairly close to that experience.
The paper itself is fairly thick and probably at least double the thickness of printer paper. If you layer colors, some color does start to bleed through the back though, so keep that in mind. They do include some cardboard paper you can use to put behind the page in case it bleeds, which was a nice addition.
